| CVE-2026-99164 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: imx: fix slab corruption from undersized DMA bounce buffers Since commit faa8e404ad8e ("spi: imx: support dynamic burst length for ECSPI DMA mode"), the driver allocates its private DMA TX/RX buffers with kzalloc(dma_len), where dma_len is only rounded up to 4 bytes, but maps, syncs and unmaps them with DMA_CACHE_ALIGNED_LEN(dma_len), i.e. rounded up to the cache line size. As a result, the DMA API operates on memory beyond the end of the allocation. This was observed on a custom i.MX8MP platform with an mcp251xfd CAN controller under heavy RPMSG load, as a series of refcount_t warnings triggered from rpmsg_recv_done() in virtio_rpmsg_bus: refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free. refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. refcount_t: saturated; leaking memory. Leading finally to an "Unable to handle kernel paging request" oops. Reproducing this problem took between 30 minutes and roughly 30 hours under the same workload. Hardware watchpoints on the refcount of a struct rpmsg_endpoint showed it was overwritten from 2 to 1 by __pi_memcpy_generic() in the irq/155-spi2.0 thread. Additionally it was found that a "normal" rpmsg_recv_done() took 11µs +/-2µs from its kref_get to kref_put. In the error case the same sequence took about 215µs +/-10µs. Based on this, an LLM was used to identify the size mismatch fixed here. Allocate the buffers with DMA_CACHE_ALIGNED_LEN(dma_len) so they cover the full mapped length, and use the same length for dma_sync_single_for_cpu() to stay consistent with map and unmap. With this patch applied, the same workload ran for more than 200 hours without the problem reproducing. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99154 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi: Reject a negative task index from parse_pdu_itt A transport that implements parse_pdu_itt hands libiscsi an index taken from the PDU, and both lookups bound it from above only: if (i >= session->cmds_max) i and cmds_max are both int, so a negative index passes and session->cmds[i] is read from before the array. be2iscsi produces one. beiscsi_parse_pdu() assigns the raw tag, *index = (int)itt; and beiscsi_complete_pdu() forwards an unsolicited NOP-In from the hardware async ring without replacing its ITT, so the value is the target's. It also reports the session's own age rather than the one in the tag, which leaves the age comparison in iscsi_verify_itt() with nothing to reject. Bound the index from below in both lookups. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99143 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Keep the predicate limit separate from program capacity predicate_parse() adds two to nr_preds to reserve the terminal TRUE and FALSE entries. It also uses that increased value as the limit for parsed predicates. If the initial count is smaller than the number actually parsed, the program can fill the allocation and subsequent accesses can go past its end. Keep nr_preds as the predicate limit and use a separate value for the allocation size. This leaves space for both terminal entries and a zeroed entry when parsing stops at the limit. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99112 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_flower: validate mask pointer after nla_next() fl_set_enc_opt() iterates the key's nested tunnel-option attributes with nla_for_each_attr() while advancing a single mask pointer via nla_next() at the bottom of each loop, so the mask cursor is driven by the number of key attributes rather than by the mask's own attributes. The nla_ok() added by commit c96adff956191 ("cls_flower: call nla_ok() before nla_next()") only validates the mask pointer that was just consumed; the pointer produced by nla_next() is used by the next iteration (fl_set_geneve_opt() and siblings) without any validation. The mask's nested attributes are validated with NL_VALIDATE_LIBERAL, which merely warns on trailing bytes that do not form a complete attribute. A mask carrying one valid attribute plus 1-3 residue bytes (or a non-aligned attribute length making msk_depth negative) therefore reaches the next iteration with msk_depth != 0, so neither the !msk_depth check in fl_set_enc_opt() nor the !depth check in the per-type helpers fires. nla_type() then reads past the mask payload and nla_parse_nested_deprecated() iterates with an nla_len taken from those bytes, reading well beyond the mask attribute (KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds read in __nla_validate_parse from fl_change()). Validate the advanced mask pointer as well: when the mask is not legitimately exhausted (msk_depth != 0) and the new pointer fails nla_ok(), reject the filter with -EINVAL. An exactly exhausted mask still skips the check, preserving exact-match behaviour for the remaining key attributes. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99110 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix heap overflow in cifs_do_set_acl() cifs_set_acl() validates ACL size using posix_acl_xattr_size(): 4 + (count * 8) // 4-byte header + 8 bytes per ACE cifs_do_set_acl() then calls posix_acl_to_cifs() to write the CIFS wire format into the same buffer: 6 + (count * 10) // 6-byte header + 10 bytes per ACE An ACL that passes the xattr-based check in cifs_set_acl() can overflow the heap when posix_acl_to_cifs() writes the larger CIFS format. Validate the CIFS format size against the remaining buffer space and USHRT_MAX before converting--data_count is __u16, so sizes above USHRT_MAX truncate the on-wire packet length, causing the server to apply a partial ACL. Replace MaxDataCount = 1000 with min(CIFSMaxBufSize, USHRT_MAX). | ||||
| CVE-2026-99094 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: fix TX descriptor bounds check btintel_pcie_prepare_tx() uses tfd_index to access the TFD and data buffer arrays before the index is advanced modulo txq->count. An index equal to txq->count is one past the end of both arrays, so reject it in the bounds check. | ||||
| CVE-2026-107565 | 2 Luksmeta, Redhat | 4 Luksmeta, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2026-10-31 | 5.1 Medium |
| A flaw was found in luksmeta. A local attacker with administrative privileges can cause data corruption when saving metadata to a Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) device. Due to incorrect boundary calculations and flawed overlap detection, new metadata entries can be written beyond available free space or over existing records. This issue can corrupt stored encrypted payload data or existing metadata, potentially rendering the affected data inaccessible. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104029 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Sssd | 5 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-31 | 3.3 Low |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. A local attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to the autofs responder UNIX socket. Due to improper buffer offset calculation during request parsing, the service performs an out-of-bounds memory read. This flaw can cause the autofs responder process to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS). | ||||
| CVE-2026-104040 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Sssd | 5 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-31 | 4.4 Medium |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. When configured with the Entra ID identity provider, input lookup names containing single quotes are not properly escaped before being included in Microsoft Graph Open Data Protocol (OData) queries. A low-privileged local user can exploit this flaw by submitting a crafted search request, altering query filters to broaden user or group searches. This can lead to information disclosure by retrieving unintended directory objects, as well as a Denial of Service (DoS) through excessive processing and cache population. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104047 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Sssd | 5 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-31 | 5.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. When configured to use Microsoft Entra ID, search inputs are not properly sanitized before being incorporated into directory query filters. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted lookup request, manipulating the query logic to cause unauthorized information disclosure from the directory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119528 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. The PSD plug-in’s image resource header loader uses an incorrect destination size when copying a converted resource name into a fixed stack buffer. Opening a crafted PSD file can cause a stack-based buffer overflow, leading to a crash and potentially arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116816 | 2 Ggml, Ggml-org | 2 Llama.cpp, Llama.cpp | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| llama.cpp b5899 before b10261 contains a heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in llm_tokenizer_plamo2::build that allows attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted GGUF models. Attackers can supply BYTE-typed token text like <0x-1> whose negative parsed value writes token ids before the bytes_ buffer during model loading, causing crashes or potential code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116815 | 1 Openpanel | 1 Openpanel | 2026-10-31 | 4.3 Medium |
| OpenPanel before 3.0.0 contains an improper escaping vulnerability in sankey.service.ts that allows authenticated project members to break ClickHouse string literals by supplying backslashes in event names. Attackers with read access can submit crafted events[].name values to the chart.sankey procedure, causing ClickHouse parse errors that disable the project's Sankey chart endpoint. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116736 | 2 Libpff Project, Libyal | 2 Libpff, Libpff | 2026-10-31 | 6.1 Medium |
| Libpff through 20260926 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in libpff_table_read_values_array because a 7c column definition's values_array_size is not checked against remaining buffer bytes. Attackers can supply a crafted PST, OST or PAB file to make applications read adjacent heap memory into record entry values or crash. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116732 | 1 Libdwarf Project | 1 Libdwarf | 2026-10-31 | 4.4 Medium |
| libdwarf through 2.3.3 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in dwarf_debug_addr_table() that omits the table starting offset when validating .debug_addr unit length. Attackers can supply a crafted object file with a non-zero offset table, causing dwarf_debug_addr_by_index() to read past the heap buffer, disclosing adjacent heap bytes or crashing consumers. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116728 | 1 Libyal | 1 Libfvde | 2026-10-31 | 5.5 Medium |
| libfvde through 20260923 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in libfvde_encrypted_metadata_read_type_0x0024() because xml_plist_data_size is not checked against the source metadata block. Attackers can supply a crafted FileVault 2 Core Storage volume that makes libfvde_volume_open() copy past the heap block buffer, crashing the application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116724 | 1 Fltk Project | 1 Fltk | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| FLTK through 1.4.5 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in Fl_BMP_Image::load_bmp_() that causes undersized pixel buffer allocation from file-supplied width and height. Attackers can supply a crafted BMP or ICO file with large dimensions so row decoding writes file-derived data past the heap buffer, corrupting the application heap. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116585 | 1 Go-jose | 1 Go-jose | 2026-10-31 | 7.5 High |
| Go JOSE provides an implementation of the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption set of standards in Go, including support for JSON Web Encryption (JWE), JSON Web Signature (JWS), and JSON Web Token (JWT) standards. Prior to 4.1.5, decrypting untrusted JWE ciphertext with A128CBC-HS256, A192CBC-HS384, or A256CBC-HS512 can pass an empty ciphertext buffer to CBC-HMAC unpadding. Insufficient validation allows the empty buffer to be indexed, causing a panic and denial of service. Applications that decrypt attacker-controlled ciphertext with one of these content-encryption algorithms are affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.5. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116581 | 1 Lxsmnsyc | 1 Seroval | 2026-10-31 | 7.5 High |
| Seroval facilitates JavaScript value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. Prior to 1.6.8, fromJSON and fromCrossJSON do not validate a sequence node's done index. A crafted done index can create an iterator that never finishes when application code consumes it to completion. An unauthenticated request to a service that deserializes untrusted input can therefore block the event loop, exhaust process memory, or make the service unavailable. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.8. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116577 | 1 Tornadoweb | 1 Tornado | 2026-10-31 | 5.3 Medium |
| Tornado is a Python web framework and asynchronous networking library. Prior to 6.6, Tornado's HTTP header parser accepts obsolete line folding and repeatedly concatenates short continuation lines, causing quadratic CPU consumption on the IOLoop thread. An unauthenticated client can submit a header block containing many obsolete line-folding continuations before application code runs, blocking other connections served by the process. The cost grows with max_header_size, and only availability is affected. This issue is fixed in version 6.6. | ||||
