CVE-2026-63958 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: ucsi: validate connector number in ucsi_connector_change() The connector number in a UCSI CCI notification is a 7-bit field supplied by the PPM. ucsi_connector_change() uses it to index the ucsi->connector[] array without checking it against the number of connectors the PPM reported at init time, so a buggy or malicious PPM (EC firmware, or an I2C-attached UCSI controller on the ccg / stm32g0 / glink transports) can drive schedule_work() on memory past the end of the array. Reject connector numbers that are zero or exceed cap.num_connectors before dereferencing the array.
CVE-2026-63908 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: atmel_mxt_ts - fix boundary check in mxt_prepare_cfg_mem When a configuration file provides an object size that is larger than the driver's known mxt_obj_size(object), the driver intends to discard the extra bytes. The loop iterates using for (i = 0; i < size; i++). Inside the loop, the condition to skip processing extra bytes is: if (i > mxt_obj_size(object)) continue; Since i is a 0-based index, the valid indices for the object are 0 through mxt_obj_size(object) - 1. When i == mxt_obj_size(object), the condition evaluates to false, and the code processes the byte instead of discarding it. This causes the code to calculate byte_offset = reg + i - cfg->start_ofs and writes the byte there, overwriting exactly one byte of the adjacent instance or object. Update the boundary check to skip extra bytes correctly by using >=.
CVE-2026-63928 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: omninet: fix memory corruption with small endpoint Make sure that the bulk-out buffers are at least as large as the hardcoded transfer size to avoid user-controlled slab corruption should a malicious device report a smaller endpoint max packet size than expected.
CVE-2026-111487 1 Qt 2 Qt, Qt3d 2026-10-30 N/A
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Qt Framework assimp scene import plugin of the Qt3D module.
CVE-2026-56388 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-30 9.1 Critical
The Redis server command parser in Apache bRPC accepts an empty RESP array as a command header. A remote unauthenticated attacker who can reach a bRPC server with Redis service enabled can send an empty array header followed by a bulk string, causing an out-of-bounds write in the parser and crashing the process. Root Cause: RedisCommandParser::ConsumeImpl rejected negative RESP array counts but accepted zero. It resized the command argument vector to zero elements and continued parsing. When a following bulk string was parsed, the only index guard was a CHECK. In configurations where fatal logs do not abort immediately, execution could continue and write to _args[0] even though the vector was empty. Affected Scenarios: Deployments that enable ServerOptions.redis_service and accept Redis protocol traffic from untrusted clients. The issue is reached during parsing before command handling or authentication. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3354 Note: The fix rejects empty RESP arrays as invalid Redis commands and replaces the internal index CHECK with an explicit parse error so malformed command streams cannot fall through to an indexed vector write.
CVE-2026-119601 1 Afflib Project 1 Afflib 2026-10-30 6.1 Medium
AFFLIB through 3.7.22 contains a heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in af_get_page() that allows attackers to corrupt heap memory by supplying crafted AFF images with mismatched page and sector sizes. Attackers can set a page size larger than and not a multiple of the sector size, causing the sector zero-fill loop to write past the buffer and crash forensic tools.
CVE-2026-99143 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Keep the predicate limit separate from program capacity predicate_parse() adds two to nr_preds to reserve the terminal TRUE and FALSE entries. It also uses that increased value as the limit for parsed predicates. If the initial count is smaller than the number actually parsed, the program can fill the allocation and subsequent accesses can go past its end. Keep nr_preds as the predicate limit and use a separate value for the allocation size. This leaves space for both terminal entries and a zeroed entry when parsing stops at the limit.
CVE-2026-99142 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Check operator stack capacity before pushing predicate_parse() uses the first operator stack entry before processing any opening parentheses. A push then increments top before writing. The existing check still permits that write when top already points to the last allocated entry, which can access beyond the operator stack. Reject the push when top reaches the last allocated entry.
CVE-2026-99110 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix heap overflow in cifs_do_set_acl() cifs_set_acl() validates ACL size using posix_acl_xattr_size(): 4 + (count * 8) // 4-byte header + 8 bytes per ACE cifs_do_set_acl() then calls posix_acl_to_cifs() to write the CIFS wire format into the same buffer: 6 + (count * 10) // 6-byte header + 10 bytes per ACE An ACL that passes the xattr-based check in cifs_set_acl() can overflow the heap when posix_acl_to_cifs() writes the larger CIFS format. Validate the CIFS format size against the remaining buffer space and USHRT_MAX before converting--data_count is __u16, so sizes above USHRT_MAX truncate the on-wire packet length, causing the server to apply a partial ACL. Replace MaxDataCount = 1000 with min(CIFSMaxBufSize, USHRT_MAX).
CVE-2026-99083 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix heap out-of-bounds write in krb5_authenticate() In krb5_authenticate(), out_len is calculated to determine available headroom in response_buf for the incoming Kerberos AP-REP token. However, when SMB2_SESSION_SETUP is processed as a non-first element of a compounded SMB2 request, the calculation omits work->next_smb2_rsp_hdr_off. This causes out_len to overstate remaining buffer headroom by the cumulative size of prior responses in the compound chain. Consequently, the length check in ksmbd_krb5_authenticate() (*out_len <= resp->spnego_blob_len) passes erroneously, allowing memcpy() to write the AP-REP blob past the end of response_buf into adjacent kernel heap memory. Fix this by subtracting work->next_smb2_rsp_hdr_off when computing out_len, ensuring it accurately reflects physical remaining buffer space.
CVE-2026-98940 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: qcom: lpass-cpu: use DAI table index for playback constraints The DAI ID is a hardware port ID and is not necessarily the index of the corresponding entry in variant->dai_driver. When configuring a DAI with LPAIF_I2SCTL_MODE_QUAD01, the probe code currently uses dai_id to index variant->dai_driver. This is incorrect for platforms where DAI IDs are sparse. For example, the IPQ806x MI2S DAI has ID 4 while it is the only entry in the DAI driver table. If that DAI is configured for QUAD01 and probe reaches this branch, the code writes beyond that single entry via dai_driver[4] instead of updating the DAI being processed. Use the loop index i when updating the current DAI's playback channel constraints, while retaining dai_id for indexing the hardware-port specific playback SD-line mode array. This fixes the incorrect DAI table access for platforms where the DAI ID does not match its position in the driver table.
CVE-2026-98836 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 6.2 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: line6: reject oversized playback packets Each playback URB is handed a slice of out.buffer that is exactly LINE6_ISO_PACKETS * max_packet_size_out bytes, sized from the OUT endpoint, but the number of bytes written into that slice is never compared against it. submit_audio_out_urb() takes the frame count from prev_fsize, which audio_in_callback() derived from the *IN* endpoint's received packet length, and rescales it with the playback frame size; when prev_fsize is still zero it synthesizes a length from the sample rate instead. On a device declaring a large IN wMaxPacketSize and a small OUT wMaxPacketSize, the resulting memcpy(), or the memset() when the playback stream is idle, runs past its slice and, as the reproducer below shows, beyond the allocation. usb_submit_urb() is not a backstop. max_packet_size_out comes from usb_maxpacket(), which returns only the low 11 bits of wMaxPacketSize, while USB core validates a high-speed isochronous length against that base scaled by usb_endpoint_maxp_mult(). A length of up to three times the allocated slice is therefore accepted, and even a rejected URB is only rejected after the write. Reject a packet that does not fit the slice the driver allocated for it. Clamping it instead would silently shorten the capture-derived rate feedback and desynchronize the two streams. CVE-2026-98830 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wfx: validate MIB read length before copying to caller wfx_hif_read_mib() copies reply->length bytes from the firmware response into the caller-provided buffer without checking that reply->length does not exceed val_len. A firmware response with a length field larger than expected overruns the caller buffer and reads past the end of the reply allocation. Replace the dead -ENOMEM check with an active validation that reply->length fits within val_len before the memcpy.
CVE-2026-98769 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_uac1_legacy: validate bRequest index in generic_{set,get}_cmd generic_set_cmd() and generic_get_cmd() use the low nibble of ctrl->bRequest as an index into con->data[]: u8 cmd = (ctrl->bRequest & 0x0F); /* 0 .. 15 */ ... con->data[cmd] = value; /* OOB when cmd >= 5 */ struct usb_audio_control (include/linux/usb/audio.h) declares data as a 5-element array, so indices 5 through 15 write (or read) up to 44 bytes past the end of the array on the heap. A malicious USB host can craft a class-specific SET_CUR / GET_CUR request with an arbitrary bRequest value, triggering the out-of-bounds access from an IRQ completion handler with no further preconditions. Add an ARRAY_SIZE() guard to both functions.
CVE-2026-98741 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: ua101: reject mismatched capture/playback packet sizes detect_usb_format() cross-checks bSubframeSize, bBitResolution and tSamFreq between the capture and playback interfaces, but never relates the two endpoints' wMaxPacketSize and bNrChannels. Each playback URB gets a buffer of ua->playback.max_packet_bytes, while the number of bytes written into it is derived from the capture stream: capture_urb_complete() computes frames from the received capture packet and capture.frame_bytes, and start_usb_playback() and playback_work() multiply that by playback.frame_bytes. A device declaring a large capture wMaxPacketSize with few capture channels and a small playback wMaxPacketSize with many playback channels therefore memset()s and memcpy()s past the end of the playback buffer, in open() of the PCM node the driver registers during probe. usb_submit_urb() rejects the over-long iso_frame_desc[0].length with -EMSGSIZE, but only after the write. Reject such descriptors at probe time. Genuine UA-101/UA-1000 hardware declares proportional packet sizes and is unaffected.
