CVE-2026-111498 2026-10-30 4.7 Medium
OpenManage Enterprise, versions prior to 4.8.0, contains an Improper Resource Locking vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Protection mechanism bypass.
CVE-2026-97501 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: mediatek: paris: bypass pinctrl GPIO layer in set GPIO direction pinctrl_gpio_direction_input() / pinctrl_gpio_direction_output() take the pinctrl mutex. This causes a gpiochip operations to need to sleep. Worse yet, the .can_sleep field in the gpiochip is not set. This causes the shared GPIO proxy to trip over, as it uses gpiod_cansleep() to check whether it can use a spinlock or needs a mutex. In this case, it ends up taking a spinlock, then calls pinctrl_gpio_direction_output(), which takes a mutex. This causes a huge warning. While this class of Mediatek hardware does not have separate clear/set registers, the pinctrl context has a spinlock that is taken whenever a register read-modify-write is done. Also, once the GPIO function is selected / muxed in, further GPIO operations do not involve pinctrl operations or state. The GPIO direction and level values do not require toggling the pinmux or any other pin config options. Switch to directly calling mtk_pinmux_gpio_set_direction() in the GPIO set direction callbacks to avoid taking the pinctrl mutex. Drop the .gpio_set_direction field in mtk_pmxops to signal we are no longer using the pinctrl GPIO layer for setting the direction.
CVE-2026-74733 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: pca953x: fix pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock regmap lock Locking is disabled in the regmap config as this driver uses its own lock. This means that all calls to regmap functions (read or write) must hold the i2c_lock. The function pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock() did not do this, and it was therefore possible that multiple threads could cause an incorrect register to be read/written. A previous patch partly fixed this, but only protected the write to the interrupt mask register, and not the read from the direction register.
CVE-2026-74599 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/ptdump: always stabilise against page table freeing using init_mm Previous commits have established the invariant that kernel page table freeing is performed while an mmap read lock on init_mm is held, which fixes races between ptdump and kernel page table freeing over init_mm. However, x86 and arm64 can perform a ptdump over an mm other than init_mm via ptdump_walk_pgd() and since kernel memory ranges are shared across non-kernel mm's, this means that the race still exists for these cases. Fix this by acquiring a nested mmap write lock for init_mm in ptdump_walk_pgd(). This is safe as we take this after mmap write locking the mm, and nothing acquires the init_mm lock first before locking an arbitrary mm, so no deadlock is possible. Also update walk_page_range_debug() to assert that init_mm is write locked, add a comment explaining why and remove some redundant code, and eliminate the unnecessary and confusing invocation of walk_kernel_page_table_range(). We can safely remove the non-NULL check for walk.mm, as the mmap lock asserts would NULL pointer deref if it was (and of course no callers do this). The first point at which ptdump can race kernel page table freeing is commit b6bdb7517c3d ("mm/vmalloc: add interfaces to free unmapped page table"), so we target this in the Fixes tag.
CVE-2026-72009 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: imx93-blk-ctrl: Extract PHY as shared domain for DSI/CSI The MIPI DSI and CSI domains share control bits for clock and reset, which can lead to incorrect behavior if one domain disables the shared resource while the other is still active. To fix the issue, introduce a shared MIPI PHY power domain to own the common resources and make DSI and CSI its subdomains. This ensures the shared bits are properly managed and not disabled while still in use.
CVE-2026-64077 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: move to two-stage removal scheme Like previous patches for x_tables, follow same pattern in ebtables. We can't reuse xt helpers: ebt_table struct layout is incompatible. table->ops assignment is now done while still holding the ebt mutex to make sure we never expose partially-filled table struct.
CVE-2026-43253 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd: move wait_on_sem() out of spinlock With iommu.strict=1, the existing completion wait path can cause soft lockups under stressed environment, as wait_on_sem() busy-waits under the spinlock with interrupts disabled. Move the completion wait in iommu_completion_wait() out of the spinlock. wait_on_sem() only polls the hardware-updated cmd_sem and does not require iommu->lock, so holding the lock during the busy wait unnecessarily increases contention and extends the time with interrupts disabled.
CVE-2026-43215 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix locking usage for tcon fields We used to use the cifs_tcp_ses_lock to protect a lot of objects that are not just the server, ses or tcon lists. We later introduced srv_lock, ses_lock and tc_lock to protect fields within the corresponding structs. This was done to provide a more granular protection and avoid unnecessary serialization. There were still a couple of uses of cifs_tcp_ses_lock to provide tcon fields. In this patch, I've replaced them with tc_lock.
CVE-2026-31655 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: imx8mp-blk-ctrl: Keep the NOC_HDCP clock enabled Keep the NOC_HDCP clock always enabled to fix the potential hang caused by the NoC ADB400 port power down handshake.
CVE-2026-31606 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_hid: don't call cdev_init while cdev in use When calling unbind, then bind again, cdev_init reinitialized the cdev, even though there may still be references to it. That's the case when the /dev/hidg* device is still opened. This obviously unsafe behavior like oopes. This fixes this by using cdev_alloc to put the cdev on the heap. That way, we can simply allocate a new one in hidg_bind.
CVE-2026-31592 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SEV: Protect *all* of sev_mem_enc_register_region() with kvm->lock Take and hold kvm->lock for before checking sev_guest() in sev_mem_enc_register_region(), as sev_guest() isn't stable unless kvm->lock is held (or KVM can guarantee KVM_SEV_INIT{2} has completed and can't rollack state). If KVM_SEV_INIT{2} fails, KVM can end up trying to add to a not-yet-initialized sev->regions_list, e.g. triggering a #GP Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000000: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007] CPU: 110 UID: 0 PID: 72717 Comm: syz.15.11462 Tainted: G U W O 6.16.0-smp-DEV #1 NONE Tainted: [U]=USER, [W]=WARN, [O]=OOT_MODULE Hardware name: Google, Inc. CVE-2025-22053 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ibmveth: make veth_pool_store stop hanging v2: - Created a single error handling unlock and exit in veth_pool_store - Greatly expanded commit message with previous explanatory-only text Summary: Use rtnl_mutex to synchronize veth_pool_store with itself, ibmveth_close and ibmveth_open, preventing multiple calls in a row to napi_disable. CVE-2023-52771 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/port: Fix delete_endpoint() vs parent unregistration race The CXL subsystem, at cxl_mem ->probe() time, establishes a lineage of ports (struct cxl_port objects) between an endpoint and the root of a CXL topology. Each port including the endpoint port is attached to the cxl_port driver. Given that setup, it follows that when either any port in that lineage goes through a cxl_port ->remove() event, or the memdev goes through a cxl_mem ->remove() event. The hierarchy below the removed port, or the entire hierarchy if the memdev is removed needs to come down. The delete_endpoint() callback is careful to check whether it is being called to tear down the hierarchy, or if it is only being called to teardown the memdev because an ancestor port is going through ->remove(). That care needs to take the device_lock() of the endpoint's parent. Which requires 2 bugs to be fixed: 1/ A reference on the parent is needed to prevent use-after-free scenarios like this signature: BUG: spinlock bad magic on CPU#0, kworker/u56:0/11 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS edk2-20230524-3.fc38 05/24/2023 Workqueue: cxl_port detach_memdev [cxl_core] RIP: 0010:spin_bug+0x65/0xa0 Call Trace: do_raw_spin_lock+0x69/0xa0 __mutex_lock+0x695/0xb80 delete_endpoint+0xad/0x150 [cxl_core] devres_release_all+0xb8/0x110 device_unbind_cleanup+0xe/0x70 device_release_driver_internal+0x1d2/0x210 detach_memdev+0x15/0x20 [cxl_core] process_one_work+0x1e3/0x4c0 worker_thread+0x1dd/0x3d0 2/ In the case of RCH topologies, the parent device that needs to be locked is not always @port->dev as returned by cxl_mem_find_port(), use endpoint->dev.parent instead.
CVE-2023-52591 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: reiserfs: Avoid touching renamed directory if parent does not change The VFS will not be locking moved directory if its parent does not change. Change reiserfs rename code to avoid touching renamed directory if its parent does not change as without locking that can corrupt the filesystem.

CVE-2026-98930 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: s390: Fix IRQ injection with SIGP Stop and Store Status When __inject_sigp_stop() is called for a Stop and Store Status operation, if the vCPU is running, the interrupt is marked as pending and the status is stored by the thread performing the KVM_RUN IOCTL. If the vCPU is already stopped, the status is stored immediately. Storing the status means writing into userspace, which might fault, and __inject_sigp_stop() is called from do_inject_vcpu() which in turn is always called holding a spinlock, which is obviously an issue. Fix this by returning -EWOULDBLOCK from __inject_sigp_stop(), and adding a bool flag to indicate whether a store status is needed. The callers of do_inject_vcpu() are modified to pass the pointer to the bool flag; whenever a Store Status operation is needed, the callers can now perform it outside the spinlock. Opportunistically refactor kvm_s390_set_irq_state() to use scoped_guard() and __free(). [ Added Fixes tag while picking -- Claudio ]
CVE-2026-98973 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: Fix unlocked list_del in drm_bridge_add() When re-adding a bridge that was previously removed, drm_bridge_add() drops it from bridge_lingering_list without holding bridge_lock. Both bridge_list and bridge_lingering_list are protected by bridge_lock, as they are concurrently modified by drm_bridge_remove() and __drm_bridge_free(), and walked by the debugfs 'bridges' file. Running the list_empty() test and the list_del_init() outside of the lock may therefore corrupt either list. Perform both under bridge_lock.
CVE-2026-99111 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix data corruption with concurrent writes and O_TRUNC cifs_do_truncate() flushes dirty pages with filemap_write_and_wait() and truncates the file on the server, but in the old code both operations ran without holding i_rwsem or invalidate_lock. A concurrent buffered write via netfs_perform_write() -- which only needs i_rwsem shared -- could dirty new pages after the flush but before the local truncation, and those pages would be silently discarded by cifs_setsize() -> truncate_pagecache(). Fix by acquiring inode_lock (exclusive i_rwsem) and filemap_invalidate_lock at the top of cifs_do_truncate(), so the entire flush-truncate-resize sequence is atomic with respect to: - buffered writes (blocked by exclusive i_rwsem, since netfs_start_io_write takes i_rwsem shared), - read page faults (blocked by exclusive invalidate_lock, since filemap_fault takes it shared), - writeback collection (blocked by netfs_wb_begin/netfs_wb_end around the server truncate and local resize, since netfs_writepages also acquires the wb lock).
