CVE-2026-114651 1 Mongodb 1 C# Driver 2026-10-23 4 Medium
A memory-handling weakness in the BSON deserialization component of the MongoDB C# Driver may cause data left over from previously processed content to be returned when specially crafted serialized input is parsed. An unauthenticated party able to supply serialized data to an application that maps certain primitive collection types can cause residual bytes from unrelated data processed earlier on the same execution thread to be surfaced as legitimate values. This can result in disclosure of a limited amount of information belonging to other requests or principals of the consuming application. No authentication or special privileges within the application are required.
CVE-2026-98540 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fprobe: Terminate the fgraph_data list when the reservation is not filled fprobe_fgraph_entry() reserves shadow stack space for every fprobe with an exit handler, but only fills it for those whose entry handler returns 0. fgraph_reserve_data() does not clear the area, so fprobe_return() parses the unused tail as headers left over from an earlier call, and an exit handler can run twice or despite its entry handler asking to skip it. Write a zero word after the last entry to terminate the walk. A zeroed slot does not decode to a NULL fprobe on the arches that encode the header into one unsigned long, since arch_decode_fprobe_header_fp() ORs in FPROBE_HEADER_MSB_PATTERN, so make read_fprobe_header() return NULL for a zeroed slot.
CVE-2026-98674 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: adi-axi-adc: Initialize state mutex The AXI ADC register access paths serialize transactions with st->lock, but probe does not initialize it. Initialize the mutex before registering the backend.
CVE-2026-98743 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: codecs: rt1017-sdca-sdw: fix uninitialized stream_config->type stream_config is not initialized before being passed to sdw_stream_add_slave(). The type field may contain garbage and is later copied to stream->type by sdw_config_stream(). Zero-initialize stream_config so type defaults to SDW_STREAM_PCM. While at it, use snd_sdw_params_to_config() helper instead of open-coding the same logic.
CVE-2026-97965 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: initialize _md in vxlan_xmit_one() If a VXLAN device is configured with both VXLAN_F_COLLECT_METADATA and VXLAN_F_GBP, and a packet is transmitted through it using an external ip_tunnel_info that lacks the IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT flag, md is left pointing to the uninitialized _md stack variable: if (test_bit(IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT, info->key.tun_flags)) { if (info->options_len < sizeof(*md)) goto drop; md = ip_tunnel_info_opts(info); } Because IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT is not set, md is not updated and remains pointing to _md. Later, vxlan_build_skb() is called with md, which eventually calls vxlan_build_gbp_hdr(): if (vxflags & VXLAN_F_GBP) vxlan_build_gbp_hdr(vxh, md); Inside vxlan_build_gbp_hdr(), md->gbp is read: if (!md->gbp) return; gbp = (struct vxlanhdr_gbp *)vxh; ... if (md->gbp & VXLAN_GBP_DONT_LEARN) gbp->dont_learn = 1; If the stack contains garbage, this causes: 1) VXLAN_HF_GBP flag to be spuriously set in the VXLAN header. 2) gbp->dont_learn and gbp->policy_applied to be set from stack bits. 3) gbp->policy_id to receive 16 bits of uninitialized kernel stack data, leaking it onto the wire. Fix this by zero-initializing _md. If IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT is not present, md->gbp remains 0, and vxlan_build_gbp_hdr() returns early without modifying the VXLAN header.
CVE-2026-97929 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usbusx2y: validate URB actual_length in interrupt callback i_usx2y_in04_int() processes the interrupt URB data without checking urb->actual_length. A short transfer from a malfunctioning device would cause the handler to process uninitialized heap data from the kmalloc-allocated in04_buf, which is then copied to the mmap-accessible ctl_snapshot[] array. Fix by using kzalloc() for in04_buf to zero-initialize the buffer, and adding an actual_length check to skip processing on short transfers while still resubmitting the URB.
CVE-2026-97538 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (asus_rog_ryujin) Validate HID report lengths rog_ryujin_raw_event() parses response headers and payload fields without first checking that they are present in the received report. A short report can therefore make the driver consume uninitialized bytes from the HID transport buffer and expose them as sensor values through sysfs. Validate the response header and the fields used by each response type before parsing them.
CVE-2026-93801 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb/client: zero-initialize stack-allocated cifs_open_info_data Stack-allocated cifs_open_info_data may contain random data. This can make some fields have wrong value if they are not set later.
CVE-2026-23007 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: zero non-PI portion of auto integrity buffer The auto-generated integrity buffer for writes needs to be fully initialized before being passed to the underlying block device, otherwise the uninitialized memory can be read back by userspace or anyone with physical access to the storage device. If protection information is generated, that portion of the integrity buffer is already initialized. The integrity data is also zeroed if PI generation is disabled via sysfs or the PI tuple size is 0. However, this misses the case where PI is generated and the PI tuple size is nonzero, but the metadata size is larger than the PI tuple. In this case, the remainder ("opaque") of the metadata is left uninitialized. Generalize the BLK_INTEGRITY_CSUM_NONE check to cover any case when the metadata is larger than just the PI tuple.
CVE-2026-101145 1 Eleveo 1 Call Recording Software 2026-10-20 4.3 Medium
A vulnerability was identified in Eleveo Call Recording Software 9.7.0. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file /callrec/userAddAction.do of the component User Management. Such manipulation of the argument Username leads to ldap injection. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2026-113868 1 Mozilla 1 Thunderbird 2026-10-20 5.3 Medium
When authenticating to a POP3 or SMTP server using NTLM, Thunderbird did not check whether the server's challenge was valid base64. A malicious server could send a challenge that caused Thunderbird to include uninitialized heap memory in its NTLM response, disclosing that memory to the server. A challenge consisting only of base64 padding also caused an out-of-bounds read, crashing Thunderbird. This affected accounts configured to use NTLM or GSSAPI authentication. The uninitialized memory disclosure only affected NTLM. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 158.0.1 and Thunderbird 153.5.1.
CVE-2026-113351 1 Libexpat Project 1 Libexpat 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
libexpat 2.7.2 through 2.9.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability because XML_ParserReset zeroes the direct byte count but never offsets tracked heap allocations. Attackers can submit a large XML document so later documents on the same reset parser fail with XML_ERROR_NO_MEMORY until it is recreated.
CVE-2026-98584 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: fix potential stack infoleak in em_text_dump() em_text_dump() allocates struct tcf_em_text on the stack without zeroing it. strscpy() writes the algorithm name and a NUL terminator into conf.algo[], leaving the remaining bytes uninitialised. nla_put_nohdr() then copies the full struct to the netlink response. KMSAN on Linux 7.2-rc6 reports two kernel-infoleak splats from this path, one triggered via "tc filter show" and one via a raw RTM_GETTFILTER dump: BUG: KMSAN: kernel-infoleak in _copy_to_iter+0x1c9/0x2620 nla_put_nohdr+0x83/0x130 em_text_dump+0x291/0x550 Local variable conf created at: em_text_dump+0x5d/0x550 Bytes 168-179 of 199 are uninitialized I am not certain whether this constitutes a real security problem in practice: the test was conducted in a controlled KMSAN environment and the leaked stack bytes may or may not carry sensitive data on actual production kernels. I am reporting it because KMSAN flagged it as a kernel-infoleak and the fix is straightforward. I can provide a userspace reproducer on request. The original code used strncpy() which zero-pads to the destination size. Commit b04202d6065c ("net/sched: replace strncpy with strscpy") replaced it with strscpy(), which does not pad, creating this condition. Zero-initialising the struct closes it.
CVE-2026-102187 1 Microsoft 28 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 25 more 2026-10-20 5.5 Medium
Use of uninitialized resource in Windows Kernel allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
CVE-2026-97629 1 F5 2 Nginx Open Source, Nginx Plus 2026-10-20 6.5 Medium
Description When NGINX Plus or NGINX Open Source is configured with ssl_session_cache shared:name:size without an explicit ssl_session_ticket_key file directives to automatically rotate SSL session ticket keys, a remote unauthenticated attacker is able to forge client SSL sessions in a non-deterministic manner that is beyond the attacker's control. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass verification of client certificates. Impact This vulnerability can lead to the exposure of resources or functionality to unintended actors, possibly providing attackers with access to sensitive information. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
CVE-2026-98528 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: cdev: fix kernel stack leak to user-space in error path If we fail to acquire the GPIO chip guard in gpio_desc_to_lineinfo(), we return immediately before zeroing the info struct we'll end up passing to the user-space later in lineinfo_get_v1(). This may leak the kernel stack contents. Make gpio_desc_to_lineinfo() return int so that the -ENODEV returned on failure to acquire the guard can be propagated to the callers. While not strictly necessary: move the memset() before trying to acquire the SRCU read lock too for good measure.
CVE-2026-72020 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: reset full ip_vs_seq structs in ip_vs_conn_new Commit 9a05475cebdd ("ipvs: avoid kmem_cache_zalloc in ip_vs_conn_new") changed ip_vs_conn_new() to allocate an ip_vs_conn object with kmem_cache_alloc(). The function then initializes many fields explicitly, but only resets in_seq.delta and out_seq.delta in the two struct ip_vs_seq members. That leaves init_seq and previous_delta uninitialized. This is normally harmless while the corresponding IP_VS_CONN_F_IN_SEQ or IP_VS_CONN_F_OUT_SEQ flag is clear. For connections learned from a sync message, however, ip_vs_proc_conn() preserves those flags from IP_VS_CONN_F_BACKUP_MASK and passes opt=NULL when the message omits IPVS_OPT_SEQ_DATA. In that case the new connection can be hashed with SEQ flags set but with the rest of in_seq/out_seq still containing stale slab data. When a packet for such a connection is later handled by an IPVS application helper, vs_fix_seq() and vs_fix_ack_seq() use previous_delta and init_seq to rewrite TCP sequence numbers. A malformed sync message can therefore make forwarded packets carry stale slab bytes in their TCP seq/ack numbers, and can also corrupt the forwarded TCP flow. Reset both struct ip_vs_seq members completely before publishing the connection. This matches the existing "reset struct ip_vs_seq" comment and keeps the sequence-adjustment gates inactive unless valid sequence data is installed later.
CVE-2026-72005 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rt2x00: avoid full teardown before work setup in probe rt2x00lib_probe_dev() uses the full rt2x00lib_remove_dev() teardown for all probe failures. However, drv_data allocation and workqueue allocation can fail before intf_work, autowakeup_work and sleep_work have been initialized. Do not enter the full remove path until the probe has reached the point where those work items are set up. Return directly for drv_data allocation failure, and use a small early cleanup path for workqueue allocation failure. This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by manual review of rt2x00lib_probe_dev() and rt2x00lib_remove_dev(). The early probe exits should not call a common teardown path that assumes the later work setup has already completed. A QEMU PoC forced alloc_ordered_workqueue() to fail before the work initializers are reached. The resulting fail path entered rt2x00lib_remove_dev(), and DEBUG_OBJECTS reported invalid work drains with rt2x00lib_probe_dev() and rt2x00lib_remove_dev() in the stack.
CVE-2026-68417 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/siw: publish QP after initialization siw_create_qp() currently calls siw_qp_add() before the queues, CQ pointers, state, completion, and device list entry are ready. A QPN lookup can therefore reach a QP that is still being constructed. Move siw_qp_add() to the end of siw_create_qp(), after QP initialization and before adding the QP to the siw device list.
CVE-2026-64413 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: zero chainstack array sashiko reports: looking at ebtables table translation, could a sparse cpu_possible_mask lead to an uninitialized pointer free? If cpu_possible_mask is sparse (for example, CPU 0 and CPU 2 are possible, but CPU 1 is not), the allocation loop skips CPU 1. If vmalloc_node() fails at CPU 2, the cleanup loop will blindly decrement and call vfree() on newinfo->chainstack[1]. Not a real-world bug, such allocation isn't expected to fail in the first place.
