CVSS v3.1 |
FearlessCMS is a flat-file `content` management system centered on simplicity and open source. Prior to version 0.1.4, five debug/test PHP scripts under `admin/` perform privileged operations without `isLoggedIn()` authentication checks, CSRF protection or adequate `path` validation. On PHP's built-in development server, including the default Docker deployment, `router.php` checks an unnormalized admin URI prefix while the filesystem resolves dot segments, so `/./admin/` bypasses the admin login gate and executes those scripts directly. In `admin/debug_save_flow.php`, attacker-controlled `path` and `content` reach `file_put_contents` for arbitrary `.md` writes under `content`/ or outside it through `path` traversal, enabling site defacement and stored JavaScript in public pages; `print_r($_POST)` output without `htmlspecialchars` escaping also causes reflected cross-site scripting. The `admin/debug_content.php` `path` parameter reaches `scandir()`, `file_get_contents()` and `posix_getpwuid()`, permitting arbitrary directory enumeration and `.md` file reads that expose absolute paths, ownership, permissions, hashes and `content` previews. The `admin/preview-handler.php` endpoint accepts JSON `content` and `title` and writes enumerable files under `content/_preview/`, enabling stored cross-site scripting and disk exhaustion. The `admin/testdebug.php` endpoint appends to `admin/testdebug.log` without authentication, also enabling disk exhaustion. The `admin/test_redirect.php` script exposes a test artifact but escapes its inputs and is not itself an XSS sink. Stored script execution can steal sessions and compromise administrators when they view affected `content`. Reads and writes execute with PHP's privileges; the tested deployment runs PHP as root, amplifying filesystem impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.1.4.
OpenHop is a tool for creating interactive data-flow diagrams. Prior to 0.3.7, `@openhop/server` passes unauthenticated flow route parameters from `GET /api/flows/:id` and `DELETE /api/flows/:id` in `packages/server/src/routes.ts` to `FlowStore.filePath()` in `packages/server/src/store.ts` without an identifier allow-list. The router applies `decodeURIComponent` to the id, and `path.join()` then normalizes traversal outside the configured flow directory after appending the .yaml extension. An attacker can read accessible YAML files as YAML-parsed JSON or permanently delete accessible .yaml files outside that directory, exposing configuration or secrets and disrupting dependent services. In `packages/server/src/index.ts`, CORS `origin: true` permits any browser origin, enabling a malicious webpage to target a loopback-bound instance. Docker deployments default to `HOST=0.0.0.0` and permit direct unauthenticated network access. This issue is fixed in repository release 0.3.7.
Camaleon CMS before 2.9.3 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows users with only the media permission to write arbitrary files by supplying ../ sequences in the name parameter. Attackers can send a base64 data: URI to the crop_url media action to write an ERB template into a theme's views directory, which executes when rendered.
A path handling issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27. An app may be able to access protected user data.
Adobe Digital Editions is affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized write access. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. Scope is changed.
Frappe before 15.121.0 and 16.x before 16.34.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability because certain file-upload handling does not validate the destination path before writing to disk. Authenticated attackers can upload crafted files to locations outside the intended storage directory to achieve remote code execution on the server.
MasterStudy LMS plugin for WordPress before 3.7.50 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows any authenticated user, including Subscribers, to trigger the stm_lms_send_test_email_ajax AJAX action without capability or nonce validation. Attackers can invoke this handler directly or via cross-site request forgery to cause an uncaught PHP fatal error that, when display_errors is enabled, discloses the absolute filesystem path of the plugin.
MasterStudy LMS plugin for WordPress before 3.7.50 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows authenticated Subscriber-level users to import arbitrary WXR XML files by supplying directory traversal sequences in the stm_lms_step parameter passed to the stm_lms_import_sample_data AJAX action, which lacks capability checks and nonce verification. Attackers can traverse the file system to reference a reachable WXR file and have the handler publish its contained posts under their identity, enabling publication of attacker-chosen post type, title, content, and metadata.
Mattermost versions 11.9.x <= 11.9.1, 11.8.x <= 11.8.5, 11.7.x <= 11.7.10 fail to validate the target post ID in the Agents plugin's mention reminder component, which allows an authenticated user who can post in a channel visible to a system administrator to cause the administrator's browser to send an unintended API request, resulting in replacement of an installed plugin and code execution on the server, via a crafted post containing a forged mention reminder that the administrator clicks. Mattermost Advisory ID: MMSA-2026-00742
Paisa before 0.7.8 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the GetFile, GetSheet, DeleteBackups, and DeleteSheetBackups handlers that lets unauthenticated attackers read files and delete backups through ../ sequences in file names. Attackers can send crafted names to the editor file and delete_backups endpoints to read any server-readable file and remove backup files outside the journal or sheets directory.
A vulnerability was detected in 1999AZZAR designer-mcp up to 2.1.0. This affects the function get_reference of the file skills/motion-designer/references/motion-dev-guidelines.md of the component MCP Interface. The manipulation of the argument Name results in path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. This product takes the approach of rolling releases to provide continious delivery. Therefore, version details for affected and updated releases are not available. The patch is identified as c8c2951dcbed9b1710a745993f028317f10a3f10. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue.
A flaw was found in OpenSCAP. When decomposing a Source DataStream (SDS) file, the application does not properly validate relative file path attributes, leading to a path traversal vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this flaw by tricking a user or automated system into decomposing a crafted datastream containing directory traversal sequences. Successful exploitation allows unauthorized file creation or modification outside the intended target directory with the permissions of the executing process.
| Szafir is vulnerable to Path Traversal in the uploaded filename. A man-in-the-middle attacker who can reroute update request to their server can prepare arbitrary XML file that will be saved in location chosen by attacker.
This issue was fixed in version 2.0 build 708. |
Mistune before 3.3.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the Include directive that allows attackers to read arbitrary files by supplying ../ sequences in include paths. Attackers can also inject HTML through unescaped error messages and included file contents to perform cross-site scripting even when escape=True is set.
OpenStack Ironic before 39.0.1 allows DELETE and GET via vendor_passthru, e.g., to delete accounts from the BMC's Redfish service.
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. From version 3.8.1 to before version 4.6.59, PraisonAI's Dynamic Context Discovery feature exposes artifact helper tools through ctx.get_tools(). The implemented artifact tools do not enforce that the supplied artifact_path is an artifact created by the configured store or that it lives under the configured artifact base directory. Instead, artifact_head, artifact_tail, artifact_grep, and artifact_chunk wrap the caller-supplied path directly into an ArtifactRef and then read it from the host filesystem. As a result, any prompt/user/tool-caller that can influence those tool arguments can read files readable by the PraisonAI process, such as project .env files, cloud credentials, SSH keys, source files, or other local data. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.59.
gopass before 1.17.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the filesystem storage backend that allows attackers to delete directories outside the password store via ../ entry names in Prune and IsDir. Collaborators with write access to a shared git-synced store can introduce crafted entries, causing a victim's recursive gopass rm -r to delete arbitrary directory trees.
Kavita 0.5.2 before 0.5.4.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files by supplying '../' sequences in the filename parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to /api/image/cover-upload with filename values like ../appsettings.json to retrieve configuration files outside the temp directory. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-18.
OrbiTeam BSCW Server 5.x before 5.2.5 and 7.x before 7.4.4 contains an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability in the style_name parameter of the theme operation. Attackers can send GET requests to /pub/bscw.cgi/<id>?op=theme with ../ sequences in style_name to read local files such as /etc/passwd. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-22.
Weaver E-cology 8.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files through the fpath parameter of the /weaver/ln.FileDownload endpoint. Attackers can send crafted GET requests with directory traversal sequences in fpath to retrieve sensitive files such as WEB-INF/web.xml from the server. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-18.
