CVSS v3.1 |
| If BIND encounters a particular invalid data structure in a DNS record, it will accept the invalid data, and may subsequently abort and exit.
BIND will first need to store a DNS record for a key (KEY, DNSKEY, etc.). That key must specify a PRIVATEDNS algorithm (253), and in the algorithm identifier, improperly give a length longer than the actual identifier data. The invalid identifier will be stored. If BIND later needs to render that record to text, it will use the invalid length during processing, leading to a consistency check failing.
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.18.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1. |
| An attacker who knows (or guesses) that a resolver uses RPZ with wildcard CNAME policies can craft query names long enough to trigger a NAMETOOLONG error condition during RPZ processing. This is not handled correctly and may lead to defeating the RPZ rule. It also may lead to an unexpected exit of the BIND 9 software.
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.16.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, 9.16.8-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1. |
| In Modem, there is a possible out of bounds read due to an integer overflow. This could lead to remote denial of service, if a UE has connected to a rogue base station controlled by the attacker, with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: MOLY01755742; Issue ID: MSV-8896. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fork: release the files of a failed fork after sched_cancel_fork()
Reorder copy_process() cleanup so sched_fork() taking scx_fork_rwsem
scx_pre_fork() is safe and isn't held around exiting files. Right now, a
fork that fails while another thread closed the bpf link fd will
deadlock against its own read side. It also blocks every fork on the
system:
copy_process() holds scx_fork_rwsem for read
exit_files()
close_files()
filp_close_sync()
bpf_scx_unreg()
kthread_flush_work() waits for the disable work
scx_root_disable()
percpu_down_write(&scx_fork_rwsem)
Simply release the child's files after sched_cancel_fork() dropped the
lock. The task starts out as a copy of its parent so p->files points to
the parent's table until copy_files() replaces it. exit_files() must not
run for a fork that failed before that. Clear p->files up front so
exit_files() is a no-op for those and make copy_files() set it
explicitly for CLONE_FILES. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
coredump: hold RCU while releasing parked threads
coredump_finish() releases the parked threads by clearing ->task in
their core_thread entry and calling wake_up_process() on each of them.
It does that without holding a reference on the task and without being
inside rcu.
But calling wake_up_process(task) without rcu here isn't safe. A parked
thread doesn't need that wakeup to leave. A spurious wakeup or a
preemption after the store is enough for the task to go away.
So if the coredump client is preempted between the store and
wake_up_process() the thread can exit and be freed in the meantime and
try_to_wake_up() takes pi_lock in freed memory.
Hold rcu across the loop. |
| When a CA's parent lives on the same Krill server: instead of building and verifying a signed CMS message, it runs the RFC 6492 provisioning exchange in-process and trusts the child identity (child_handle) that the caller put in the parent contact. Nothing checks that this child identity actually belongs to the CA making the request. |
| The issue is a resource exhaustion vulnerability associated with DNSSEC validation. BIND always validates all RRSIG records in an answer, even if they are not strictly needed. A query to an authoritative server/zone which returns many valid but superfluous RRSIG records causes the validator to waste disproportionate CPU time.
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1. |
| A DNSSEC validating resolver that is under a random subdomain attack against a DNSSEC-signed zone can suffer from runaway memory usage. The attacker needs to be able to send queries faster than the resolver can perform validation. The increased memory usage can be orders of magnitude beyond the limit configured in the `max-cache-size` parameter.
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1. |
| It is possible for an attacker's zone to respond to a query with an RRSIG that has a smaller number of labels than the zone in which the RRSIG is contained. This causes `named` to produce a wildcard name for a zone that is shorter than the attacker's zone, which can result in cache poisoning. For this attack to have any effect, the resolver under attack must have set `synth-from-dnssec yes;` (which is the default).
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1. |

| SUSE Rancher Fleet clusters reference a kubeconfig secret that the controller uses to install and manage a Fleet agent on the target cluster. The controller did not sufficiently restrict which kubeconfig secrets a Fleet Cluster object was allowed to reference. As a result, a Fleet cluster defined in a namespace an ordinary user controls could be associated with administrative credentials for the management cluster itself, causing the controller to manage the management cluster on that user's behalf and to run that user's Fleet content there with elevated privileges. This affects SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.16.0 up to 0.16.3, 0.15.0 up to 0.15.8, 0.14.0 up to 0.14.12, 0.13.0 up to 0.13.17 and possible older versions. |
| This CVE ID has been rejected because it does not describe a security vulnerability. |
| Missing Authorization vulnerability in TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Software Technologies Research Institute eta-register allows Privilege Escalation.
This issue affects eta-register: from 2.0.8 before 2.0.9. |
| Missing filtering in the SUSE Rancher Manager meta proxy could cause passed in rancher credentials to be leaked to cloud providers. This affects SUSE Rancher 2.15.0 up to 2.15.3, 2.14.0 up to 2.14.7, 2.13.0 up to 2.13.11, |
| MasterStudy LMS plugin for WordPress before 3.7.50 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows any authenticated user, including Subscribers, to trigger the stm_lms_send_test_email_ajax AJAX action without capability or nonce validation. Attackers can invoke this handler directly or via cross-site request forgery to cause an uncaught PHP fatal error that, when display_errors is enabled, discloses the absolute filesystem path of the plugin. |
| Improper neutralization of special elements used in an SQL command ('SQL injection') vulnerability in Starnet Computer and Network Systems Inventory Tracking Application allows SQL Injection.
This issue affects Inventory Tracking Application: through 2026-10-16. |
| The Admin REST API accepts user-supplied input without adequately sanitizing it, allowing it to be included in the structure of SQL statements.
A user with administrator privileges can exploit this by influencing the structure of executed SQL statements, enabling blind SQL injection to infer database information and potentially impact the availability of the database service. |
